Better! Also Desmond is hot.ttt.
First, I'd like to take a moment to say

Henry Ian Cusick: He Even Makes Sissy Hummingbirds Look Hot
yummy . . .
Right. So aside from the hurrahs for adding even more hot guys to the Lost cast, I'd like to cast my vote for the best episode so far this season. By FAR. I do appreciate the departure from the Season 2 opening episodes where we had to live through the same scenes from slightly different POVs for three or four episodes. I am much more interested in seeing where all the groups of Losties are in episode-sized chunks. That's great. But it's not enough.
The big difference this week was that we are back to the true mystery of the island. How the hell does Desmond know what Locke is going to do before he's going to do it? How does a dead man speak to a stoned mute guy about Jack, Sawyer, and Kate when the latter doesn't even know what has happened to Jack, Sawyer, and Kate yet? I love it! THIS is what I like about Lost. I'm not saying that The Others aren't still a mysterious bunch, but the current implication that they are totally connected with rest of the world is actually pretty dull to me. In a way, it's almost playing into the most obvious plot "twist." So- my hope is that things are not what they seem. And that we get more naked time with Desmond. I like them a little crazy and running around pantsless in a tie-dye shirtdress.

I agree, definitely the best episode yet this season. Not only that, but I thought it was a really good episode. I loved the backstory. Locke's backstory is so interesting. And we still haven't found out how he hurt his legs. Actually, the only main character who has a boring backstory is Jack. The most interesting thing that ever happened to Jack was bumping into Desmond while running stadiums.
Also, finally a real question this season, how did Desmond know things that have already happened? That's right up there with the button if you ask me. What else does Desmond know? Why doesn't Desmond think it's strange that he knows something that hasn't happened yet? When is Echo gonna go all druglord on the others? Oh, sorry, just wishful thinking on the last one. Actually, I wonder if Echo time-travelled too.
PS - heroes still isn't good, but at least it's interesting, unlike the 9. That show is horrible. Ooh, how are these normal people realistically going to handle a traumatic experience. If I wanted realism I'd watch "Search and Destroy". And what's with all the Salingers (PoF) guys growing up to be doctors?
Interesting- I agree that it would have flowed better to have this episode come second and The Glass Ballerina episode come third. Maybe they figured people would whine more if they didn't get to find out what happened to the sailboat people? Eh- not sure I believe that, actually.
Also, I think you are overlooking the more obvious Desmond/Vincent parallel: Vincent also looks super hot in his birthday suit.
